The Role

This role will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic digital campaigns and initiatives to drive engagement and reach pertaining to the Safe Systems Infrastructure Project. We are looking for a passionate digital guru with the love and knowledge of tech combined with natural flair for promoting brand and products in a compelling way.

The role will:

• Coordinate engaging and relevant content via direct marketing and social media campaigns

• Share road safety messages from our partners through our social media channels

• Report on social media activity, identify emerging trends and test new social media platforms

• Drive brand awareness and growth in existing digital channels

• Publish and coordinate digital content and functionality across the Department of Transport website's including email, social media and other digital applications

• Ensure content (including images, maps, audio and video) is regularly updated, easily understood and meets quality standards

• Apply sound writing, editing and communication skills to plan, write and edit digital content

• Work with technical teams to develop, test and deliver continuous improvements to content management systems and Projects

Skills and experience required:

• Appropriate tertiary qualification or significant experience in digital marketing, marketing, communications, journalism and/or PR

• In depth understanding and knowledge of digital and social media platforms

• Understanding of emerging marketing trends to relevant business opportunities

• Experience preparing quality written materials for various target groups
