The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation is a statutory authority, established in 2011. Its mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of Victorians by working with communities and government to deliver effective, evidence-based initiatives to prevent gambling harm and support for those seeking help. The Foundation uses a public health approach to focus on prevention, early intervention and support for those who may experience gambling harm. By partnering with others, the Foundation is working to raise awareness of gambling harm and provide access to a range of effective treatment and support. The Foundation's role extends to providing the latest information to community groups, local government and the public about gambling and its regulation in Victoria, along with policy advice across government. The Foundation is committed to a Victoria free from gambling related harm.

Position Details

 

 

The Foundation is looking for an experienced organisation leader with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and proven abilities to influence outcomes at the highest levels of government and industry.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for the leadership and management of the organisation and meeting goals aligned with the Foundation's strategic objectives.  

The successful appointee will have:

  • Proven leadership experience at CEO or executive director level, ideally within an NGO or government setting, leading an organisation by example and promoting a positive culture of high performance. 
  • Experience implementing policy reforms and successful public health and social programs in a complex environment.
  • A track record of successfully navigating complex stakeholder relationships.  An understanding of the way the public sector, governments and industry work is critical.
