Position Details

Senior Manager, Corporate & Engagement Services

  • $113,156 – $151,426 per annum plus superannuation ($115,136 - $154,076 from 1 January 2018)
  • Ongoing

  • Usual work location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

The Senior Manager, Corporate & Engagement Services will be working within the office of the Victorian Small Business Commission (VSBC). The Victorian Small Business Commission aims to ensure a fair and competitive environment in which small businesses can grow and thrive. The VSBC key functions focus on engaging with the small business community, advocating on issues, monitoring the small business environment and providing an efficient and low-cost small business dispute resolution service.

Reporting to the Victorian Small Business Commissioner, this role will lead a small team to manage corporate planning, performance reporting, budget and finance, risk management, and governance. The role also oversees the processes and systems to support data collection across the Commission maintain databases and systems necessary for administrative support of the VSBC.

The Senior Manager responsibilities will also involve significant stakeholder management with key external stakeholders and oversee internal and external communications, public relations and engagement.

To be successful in this role you will need demonstrated experience in managing a varied workload, and dealing with complex matters. You will have the ability to provide team leadership and guidance, partnered with excellent stakeholder relationship skills and a demonstrated ability to comfortably deal with communications, public relations and media concepts.
