Position Details

VCAT is seeking a dynamic, change-driven Case Manager to work as part of a case management team within our Human Rights Division.

VCAT is seeking a dynamic, change-driven individual to fill this role within the Human Rights Division (HRD).  The Case Manager will be part of a team dedicated to providing greater access to justice, quality customer centric services and timely outcomes.

The Human Rights Division hears cases under the Guardianship and Administration Act 1986, Medical Treatment Planning and Decisions Act 2016, Powers of Attorney Act 2014, Equal Opportunity Act 2010, Health Records Act 2001, Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014, Disability Act 2006, Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to make a genuine contribution by delivering effective and efficient guardianship and human rights services to the community of Victoria.

The Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for the coordination and case management of applications made to HRD at VCAT. This will incorporate administrative and business functions with a strong customer focus designed to promote awareness and understanding of VCAT processes and legislative requirements.

· Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers to understand service needs

· Exceptional self-management, planning and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team
· Experience working with people who are at risk or have complex needs.
