Position Details

Play a key role in enhancing our online channels

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is on an exciting digital journey, which will see us transform and enhance our online platforms to create a seamless end-to-end user experience.  We are currently looking for a talented and driven digital content specialist who will focus on improving user experience through website design and content.

VCAT's website attracts over one million visits each year and is our key digital platform for communicating about VCAT.

The Digital Content Officer will assist VCAT with its digital-first approach and help ensure our online content is easy-to-understand to encourage self-service.

This role has responsibilities spanning a wide range of online communications functions in a fast-paced environment:

  • Supporting the delivery of a customer-centric website and intranet that meets the needs and expectations of their audiences and VCAT.
  • Developing user friendly, audience appropriate content in a range of formats and across VCAT's communications channels, including e-newsletters.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that online content is accurate, relevant, task-oriented and complies with good web practice.
  • Monitoring, identifying and assisting to resolve website issues.
  • Assisting in website reporting.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • solid experience using Drupal
  • excellent web writing skills
  • solid experience in HTML and CSS
  • ability to produce digital content that adheres to web writing principles and accessibility guidelines
  • in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics, MailChimp, SEO, and the Adobe and Microsoft suites.
