Position Details

Currently the busiest Tribunal in Australia, VCAT serves the community by resolving civil and administrative disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. VCAT services a diverse range of Victorian disputes, from residential tenancy matters to complex building and property and human rights cases. These matters have a deep reach into the Victorian community and a direct impact on the economy, in particular, in planning, property, health and small business.

About the opportunity:

The Regional Administrative Officer (RAO)- Loddon Malleeis a multi-functional role that sits within our Community Access Services Team. The RAO is responsible for delivering front line services and for providing high quality administrative support through end-to-end processing of applications.

Reporting to the Manager, Regional Services, you will provide onsite support to VCAT users and Members in preparation for and during hearings.

The role will be primarily located onsite at the new Bendigo Law Courts but may be required to work from other regional venues within the Loddon Mallee region as needed. You may also, on occasion, be required to attend the VCAT venue in Melbourne CBD (i.e. for training purposes).

The successful candidate will undergo an induction program and related training and may be required to undertake first aid officer training as part of their role.

You will have well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be passionate about customer service and contributing your broad experience to help VCAT identify improvements to our processes and procedures and to help shape our future.
