Data and Information Analyst

About us
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. About the role
- Undertakes analysis at the direction of unit manager;
- Design new Power BI reports and dashboards where needed and troubleshoot or amend the current ones appropriately;
- Respond to data requests using VCAT Azure Datawarehouse to extract data;
- Develop effective relatioships with stakeholders, with the ability to engage and draw out the needs and requirements of the stakeholders and to negotiate win - win outcomes in the delivery of the services;
- Provide independent data quality checks for other staff members in the unit where its needed.
About you
- A bachelors degree or higher in the relevant discipline area of information systems, statistics and/or mathematics is desirable;
- Highly developed knowledge and skills in designed and developing reports in Power BI;
- Extensive demonstrated experience of working in rational databases and azure datawarehouse;
- Ability to program in SQL;
- Well developed communication skills, written and oral;
- Knowledge of VCAT operations and policy is advantageous.
