About the role:
The Manager, Network Delivery will hold accountability for overseeing and leading the continuous improvement, design, development and implementation of activities and initiatives for the public health network, inclusive of Local Public Health Units, the department and its other public health partners. The role will provide stewardship to the networked public health system, and design, establish and implement an effective and efficient governance model for public health network oversight and accountability.
The role involves leading a small team to coordinate and lead responses to new and emerging issues and risks. The Manager, Network Delivery will also provide leadership in developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Local Public Health Units and a range of program and policy areas within the department.

- A strategic leader with experience in public health system governance and oversight?
Skilled in designing, implementing and overseeing governance models, you can effectively manage complex networked systems like the public health network. You have a demonstrated ability to coordinate responses to emerging public health issues, delivering solutions to complex challenges and driving continuous improvement. - Passionate about building partnerships and influencing stakeholders to enhance health outcomes?

The successful applicant will demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills, as well as an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforces and improve outcomes for Victorians. We are seeking candidates who will contribute to a high performing culture, deliver successful outcomes, develop capability within the team and be a leader within the branch. This role will lead activities that help drive the successful delivery of priority design projects that improve the way the department operates.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- Conceptual and analytical ability: Deals with concepts, ambiguity and complexity comfortably; uses analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems, has creative ideas and can project how these can link to innovations.
- Systems thinking: Diagnoses trends, obstacles, and opportunities in the internal and external environment; understand the linkages between natural systems and communities to inform policy; conceptualises and defines the systems working within the organisation.
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health, public policy/administration, health administration or business management is highly desirable.
