About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
MCV has a strong commitment to improving the safety of families living with violence engaged with the Court and working as part of an integrated response. This workstream, a part of the MCV's Family Violence Division, is responsible for delivery of the Court Mandated Counselling Orders Program.
About the role
The Manager – Family Violence Programs provides program oversight and supports the design and implementation of new programs and improvements to existing family violence programs, including the Court Mandated Counselling Orders Program.
The role requires program and policy expertise across justice and family violence service systems to influence, lead and deliver quality programs and service reform across the Court.
About you
MCV is seeking an experienced leader, with relevant qualifications and the ability to drive program reform, oversee contracts and support staff. You will have a strong understanding of family violence, especially its intersections with courts and the justice system.
You will be able to work flexibly with new and developing programs, as well as helping to shape contributions to emerging evidence about what works to change the behaviour of people using family violence.
