Position Details
About the role:
- The Manager, Corporate Services reports directly to the Assistant Commissioner, Legal, Policy and Regulation.
- You will lead a team that supports corporate and organisation-wide functions across financial, ICT systems, data and reporting, people and culture and communications support for the HCC.
- Supporting the executive team you will contribute to the development and delivery of the HCC Strategic Plan and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- You will demonstrate excellence in leadership and management of people, high data literacy and use coaching and mentoring of staff to support a culture that is innovative, collaborative, flexible, proactive, dedicated to delivering excellence in services to our users.

How you'll make a difference:
- Provide executive support and expert advice. Promote good governance and best practices in people management.
- Manage a team that delivers a range of corporate and organisation wide support for business processes across the HCC including financial, ICT, data, people and culture, communications and engagement, and quality and compliance functions for the HCC.
- Use negotiation and influence to solve complex issues and support sustainable change and continuous improvement. Co-develop business and workforce plans to support financial sustainability and effective delivery of service excellence.
- Lead multichannel contemporary communication strategies to pro-actively build and maintain effective working relationships and information flow within the HCC and between the HCC and diverse stakeholders.
- Oversee and prepare detailed reports and submissions on operational and policy issues.
- Monitor government and departmental policies, identify emerging issues within HCC operations and develop mitigation mechanisms for risks. Adapt policies to benefit HCC operations.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant or associated public policy, public sector management, statutory enforcement and/or regulatory compliance field is highly desirable.
- Leadership and management experience is required.
