What's on offer:
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 80 hours a fortnight (with a monthly ADO)
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Grade 2 Social Worker
- Salary: $88,030 - $101,197 pro rata + superannuation, penalties & allowances
- Opportunity to work in a supportive multi-disciplinary team
About the Role: As a Perinatal Social Worker, you'll be integral to the psychosocial health and well-being of women and their infants during the perinatal period. You'll work primarily with pregnant women in the Women's Health Clinic, providing support to women dealing with health and complex social needs, offering counselling, risk assessments, advocacy, and more.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting psychosocial screenings and risk assessments
- Providing counselling, mediation, and therapeutic interventions
- Liaising with various healthcare disciplines to ensure continuity of care
- Offering expert consultation on family violence, child protection, and infant safety
- Supporting women with emotional, physical, and cultural well-being
What You Bring:
- Eligibility for AASW membership
- Experience in women's health, child protection, and family violence
- Background in mental health social work (desirable)
- Proven expertise in psychosocial/risk assessments and case management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across health and community sectors
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices
- A self-motivated, flexible, and solution-focused mindset
