About the role

Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) is Victoria's dedicated agency responsible for coordinating emergency recovery across the state. ERV helps communities build back better - and emerge stronger -after emergencies.

The Senior Policy Officer, Natural Disaster Financial Assistance, is responsible for supporting and coordinating the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) reform agenda and reviews, including stakeholder engagement with the Commonwealth and relevant key state and local government agencies.

The position supports ongoing Victorian DRFA continuous improvement program and processes and will work with other relevant teams across the organisation to support enhancements to implementation of the DRFA. The position will also assist the NDFA team in assessing DRFA claims and estimates for quality assurance as required.

• · have demonstrated flexibility and adaptability by adapting to new system processes and team and organisational priorities.
• · broad knowledge of disaster funding arrangements and willingness to quickly learn and support implementation of the DRFA
