About this role
Do you want to work on priority projects for Victoria, sink your teeth into tricky policy questions and learn more about managing regulated river systems? Do you want to get out and talk to the community about issues that are important to them?
Then search no further! Our team works towards positive policy change to continually improve water market settings. These settings are key to making the most of sharing Victoria's precious water resources.
We work directly with irrigators, rural water corporations, Traditional Owners, local communities, waterway managers, scientists, and environmental water holders as well as the MDBA and other basin states and a whole range of other DEECA teams.
We're looking someone organised and proactive to support the team as we tackle a diverse set of policy issues.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification, or relevant experience, in natural Resource Management is desirable.
- Experience identifying and working with stakeholders in regional and rural communities impacted by decisions. is highly desirable.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
