Position Details
The Manager, Program Review (Victorian Energy Upgrades) leads a program of work that oversees a high-profile, time-sensitive review that will contribute to the future design and continuous improvement of the Victorian Energy Upgrades program (the “Review”). The VEU program is the largest existing emission reduction policy in Victoria, it plays a strong role in delivering governmental decarbonisation objectives and is a key lever for the delivery of Victoria's energy transition.
The Manager will be responsible for; consideration and advice on energy efficiency policy and regulation, analysis of energy markets and trends, and provision strategic advice and evidence-based information and recommendations to inform the Review's outcomes. It will lead the engagement of organisations that can assist in providing specialist advice, will establish cross-organisational working groups and related governance arrangements, and lead a high-performing team to form evidence-based policy recommendations, effectively communicate these to senior leaders, and prepare briefings and submissions to seek support for these recommendations.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications such as engineering, energy, science, economics, law or public policy.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and/or reviewing public sector policy or programs in a complex environment with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency as it relates to energy efficiency certificate markets is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2026. The successful candidate can select a base of either our Melbourne or Morwell office, hybrid work arrangements are also available.
