Position Details
The Senior Risk Adviser is the lead subject matter expert in identifying, defining, assessing and managing risks that may arise and impact the design and delivery of a new energy efficiency activity under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.
The Senior Risk Adviser will work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team to develop and deliver risk identification and mitigation strategies, and contribute to a robust Safety and Quality Framework (the “Framework”) that considers identified risks and establishes safety and quality assurance measures for the installation of products in residential premises, and the development and implementation of processes and activities to ensure that risks are managed appropriately, and that installations are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner. The controls developed will ensure safer installations, enhanced worker and quality protections and contribute to the market for product certification.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Experienced risk management professional
- Background in a safety or regulatory environment
Desirable:
- A relevant tertiary degree/qualification in a risk/compliance related field
- Experience in working with industry stakeholders, particularly in the building and construction sector as it relates to energy or energy efficiency is highly desirable.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2.5 years. The successful candidate can select a base of either our Melbourne or Morwell office, hybrid work arrangements are also available.
