Position Details
THE ROLE
Senior Project Officer
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced construction Senior Project Officer to support project delivery for the Planned Asset Improvements Unit of Homes Victoria's Asset Management Branch. The Senior Project Officer is a key role in a collaborative team focused on the management and delivery of housing upgrade works on high-rise precincts throughout Victoria. The position will be responsible for the upgrade of fire services within Community Care Facilities and broader asset classes.
The role will require a dynamic, flexible and experienced candidate with experience in all facets of project management including coordinating procurement processes and contract management, providing authoritative advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver key project outcomes.
Are you
- Experienced in the management and delivery of residential building industry contracts with multiple stakeholders
- A cooperative team member who works well with others in pursuit of team goals, collaborates and shares information, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good at researching, preparing and executing project reports and briefings and/or technical specifications for fire services projects
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
• Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
o Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
o Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
o Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
• Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
