• Salary range: $123,625 - $157,340 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
• Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

About the role
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) are seeking an experienced and motivated Delivery Manager to oversee and lead a team of data scientists and AI professionals. The role focuses on building a team to deliver innovative data science and AI solutions that align with VLA's strategic goals.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Intelligence, you will be required to engage and manage third party providers to deliver AI projects ensuring alignment with projects goals, timelines and VLA standards while maintain compliance with ethical AI practices. You will also be responsible for monitoring and tracking team performance while working with internal stakeholders and delivery partners to drive best practice and value-add solutions.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

• Advanced project management skills to deliver complex initiatives in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated experience of building and guiding new teams and managing work allocation processes.
• Previous experience leading and managing a high performing team in a similar function (highly desirable).
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (mandatory).
