Position Details
THE ROLE
The Office Coordinator, Bayside Peninsula Area sits within the Office of the Executive Director. The role oversees and coordinates the efficient and effective flow of work through the branch so that decision-makers are supported with high quality and timely advice and is responsible for the provision of advice for the branch executive on corporate, human resourcing, governance and other administrative and corporate matters.
The role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the branch, department and ministerial offices, including proven experience engaging with senior executives.
The role requires a highly organised and methodical individual who is a proactive self-starter with an understanding of government processes and systems and an ability to work in a complex, sensitive and fast-paced environment. The role also requires high levels of flexibility and adaptability, ability to work with minimal supervision, and commitment to contribute to a professional and supportive work environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate organisational awareness, excellent planning and organisational skills, relationship building skills, initiative and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work proactively to ensure that deadlines are met.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Maintain strong relationships with senior executive and staff within the department, as well as other public and private sector agencies and ministerial offices.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
