Position Details
About the role: 0.6 fixed term from 1st July to 30 June 2026
Reporting to the Senior Registrar, the Deputy Registrar is responsible for the effective listing and coordination of Mental Health Tribunal hearings, Tribunal member support, the management of associated documentation including the statutory register of the tribunal, and some case management under supervision of the Registrar. The position requires a highly motivated individual who is committed to the highest level of client service, is able to set priorities and work under pressure.

About you:
- A team player.
- An excellent communicator and highly organised.
- Collaborative and able to develop strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- As a member of the Registry team, manage Registry functions to ensure all hearings are organised and managed in a timely and efficient manner, including coordination of teleconference and video conference hearings and related equipment management.
- A background in court/tribunal management or comparable experience in the management of a high-volume case-flow system is highly desirable.
- Ensure that all listings and coordination practices comply with the applicable legislation, policies and procedures.
- Assist the registrar with case management of allocated cases.
