Acting Director of Nursing Maldon Hospital
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract full-time from 30th June 2025 until 28th September 2025
Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 -2028
About the role
The primary role of the Director of Nursing is to ensure the highest level of care is provided to patients, residents and clients at the Maldon Hospital campus of Dhelkaya Health. This requires the delivery of evidence based, safe and effective clinical care and support.
This is a senior role that contributes to Dhelkaya Health's vision and purpose. This role is a champion for Dhelkaya Health's values and purpose and promotes and drives commitment to the Health Service's strategic objectives. Staff working at this level are expected to manage work practices for the health and wellbeing of staff, promote and adopt a balanced and positive approach to work and ensure health and safety risks are addressed in a working environment free from harassment and discrimination.
About you
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate.
- At least three years' experience in senior roles in health management
- Postgraduate qualification in health or management or working towards same is preferred
