About this role
The Senior People and Culture (P&C) Business Partner is responsible for providing a diverse range of strategic and operational HR advice to support designated client groups. The role will provide a single point of service for HR advice including workforce planning, change management, performance management and the resolution of complex, sensitive, or contentious workplace issues.
Using a business partnership model, this role will manage a portfolio of internal client groups, providing strategic and operational advice to senior leaders and staff on complex people matters. It will focus on building capability and delivering tailored solutions aligned with organisational priorities, while ensuring compliance with relevant government policy, legislation, industrial awards, and departmental policies.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Sound understanding of relevant VPS HR legislation, policy frameworks and workplace agreements
- Experience in case managing a range of human resource issues, with extensive knowledge of employee relations management and of contemporary developments in human resource management including the successful delivery of outcomes in complex and/or changing business environments
- Experience as a trusted advisor and demonstrated ability to build credible relationships that influences change and enhance manager capability in HR and people management.
- Adept at managing competing priorities and demands of a diverse range of stakeholders, grasping complex business issues and using sound judgement in recommending effective approaches.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 10 months (with the possibility for extension). The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
