Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced nurse with a background in acute settings to step into the role of Nurse Unit Manager - Acute Services, Daylesford Hospital. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for providing seamless operational and clinical leadership across our Urgent Care Centre (UCC), Acute Inpatient Unit and Dialysis Unit.

This is a rewarding role ideally suited to someone with a vision for strategic leadership to grow and align our services. You will guide a dynamic team of healthcare professionals to contribute to the implementation of the strategic plan. As a senior leader you will play a key role in planning, developing and implementing systems and processes that drive clinical excellence.

Role Statement:
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is an integral role within our health services. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON), the NUM has a strong leadership role and assumes responsibility for the day to day operational and clinical management of nursing, personal care and clerical services. As a leader, the NUM exhibits effective communication and problem-solving skills and a keen 
understanding of the dynamic nature of the health sector.

Details of Appointment: 

Permanent, full-time position working 80 hours per fortnight, including an ADO each 4 weeks

Salary: 

As per award + Superannuation

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019. Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
