About the role
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our Community Legal Centre Program team, coordinating state and national government funding and VLA funding for 41 Community Legal Centres (CLCs) across Victoria.
You will play a key role in operations, financial administration, and contract management activities, as you support CLCs with multi-year service agreements, budgeting, and financial, operations and service reporting. As part of a supportive team, you will work closely with colleagues in CLCs providing legal and allied services to the Victorian community.
This role is based at our Naarm / Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. Applications to be based in another VLA office can be considered.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in grants management in the community and/or public sector.
- Highly developed skills in financial administration, including the ability to accurately track and report on funding and compliance across multiple organisations and funding streams.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external colleagues and stakeholders, in particular community organisations and First Nations community organisations.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, and ability to prepare concise and accurate analysis, reports, briefings, and communications.
- Well-developed administrative and operational management skills, to perform tasks accurately and with a high attention to detail, identify and implement process improvements, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Highly developed computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other related programs as required.
