About the opportunity
We have an 9-month full-time opportunity for a Property and Asset Lead to join Energy Safe's Finance team.
You will contribute by:
- Meeting strategic directions through the coordination of the frameworks, systems and training for procurement, fleet management and facilities management
- Project managing any end-to-end office fit-out across Energy Safe's office.
- Developing and maintaining the facilities and physical asset management systems and the co-ordination and management of tenancy arrangements.
- Reviewing and negotiating facilities (including maintenance) and property contracts (including tenancy agreements) and service level agreements with contractors and service providers to ensure cost effective and efficient implementation of assets and services, including managing the procurement of these services consistent with Victorian government guidelines
- Ensure appropriate leadership and development of subordinate staff. Providing clear performance standards for team members, a high level of direction and management of team deliverables and provide professional development to staff.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders, including fleet providers, base-building owners, landlords and property management organisations.
- Coordinate building maintenance activities to ensure that all building operations, services and work programs comply with relevant standards including building codes, security and risk management policy, health and safety legislation, emergency and fire response procedures.
- Reviewing the increasing operational security to ensure continuity of Energy Safe's operations during times of an emergency or crisis.
- Managing the Business Services budget in accordance with Energy Safe's finance policies and procedures, including regular and accurate reporting.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management, including negotiation skills and budget management.
- Demonstrated experience project managing an end-to-end office fit-out.
- Understanding of OH&S legislation, building codes, and emergency management codes of practice, with the ability to work in an environment with statutory obligations.
- Good understanding and/or experience in fleet management.
- Ability to work in a team environment and experience in leading a high performing team.
- Strong work ethic and ability to be flexible and adaptable
