THE ROLE
Senior Policy Officer
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to developing and implementing policy within the Affordable Housing Team of Homes Victoria. Affordable housing is part of the Victorian Government's response to the growing gap in housing affordability and supply for many low to moderate income households.
This position will provide a high-performing individual with the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge to formulate policies in response to complex, system-wide affordability issues in the housing system.
As part of a small dynamic fast-paced team, you will be involved in the development of strategy for the growing affordable housing sector, and implementation of the affordable housing delivered under the $6.3 billion Big Housing build and Regional Housing Fund.

- Able to work effectively as part of a team and have excellent communication skills?
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide authoritative advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues, based on comprehensive research.
- Develop policy initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Monitor and report on high priority issues, risks and trends and prepare and present reports, ministerial briefs, Cabinet and agency submissions.
