Systems Engineer - Cyber Security

• Salary range: $98,902 - $123,624 plus super plus salary packaging
• Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

About the role
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that systems, applications and network devices are correctly configured, hardened and updated regularly to minimise security vulnerabilities. You will also be responsible for configuring and managing encryption technologies such as SSL/TLS certificates, disk encryption and secure file transfer protocols, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity.

In addition, you will provide fault resolution and technical support for systems, applications and devices utilising effective problem management techniques.

This role has a rostered on-call component that will require responding outside business hours to security incidents escalated by VLA's Security Operations Centre.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

• Proven understanding of cyber security concepts, technologies and procedures with the ability to apply and maintain best-practice security configurations across a range of systems, applications and networking devices.
• Demonstrated advanced technical troubleshooting and problem resolutions skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Qualifications:
  • MCSE: Core Infrastructure or equivalent experience (mandatory).
  • CCNA: Routing and Switching or equivalent networking experience (mandatory).
  • Azure Infrastructure deployment experience (desirable).
