About the Business Unit:
The Victorian Legal Admissions Board (the ‘Board') is a statutory body which performs functions associated with the admission of lawyers in Victoria in accordance with the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 (the ‘Act').
The Board has the responsibility determining whether to issue Compliance Certificates to applicants for admission under the Uniform Legal Profession Law (the ‘Law'). It also approves, monitors and reviews academic and practical legal training courses and providers.
An integrated secretariat has been established to support the work of the Board, comprising the Chief Executive Officer and a small number of support staff.
About the Role:
The position of Administrative Support Officer is responsible for administrative services within the Board. The incumbent will be expected to rotate through a range of responsibilities, based upon the needs of the Board. Responsibilities assigned will relate to the activities of Board and its Committees and will include:
- Admission ceremonies assistance;
- Persons of interest review;
- Bounced emails review;
- Digital concertina clean up and upload to Salesforce CRM daily review;
- Scanning of documents and uploading to applicant record in Salesforce CRM;
- Admission Court Order uploads;
- Assisting with activities relating to the assessment for completeness of documentation in support of an application for a compliance certificate as set out in the Legal Profession Uniform Admission Rules 2015; and
- Answering telephones and attend to enquiries when required.
The role is part time (three days a week - 0.6) and will be a combination of in office and remote working, for a fixed term period of 12 months. The days will be Tuesday (in office), Wednesday (remote) and Friday (in office).

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- The ability to conduct routine technical or specialist procedures and data collection, collation and analysis as required using digital resources such as Salesforce CRM, Outlook and including the Microsoft Office suite of products
- The ability to diagnose and correct faults and problems with technical equipment such as Salesforce CRM
- The ability to contribute to technical project planning with respect to digital applications such as Salesforce CRM
