About the role:
The Senior Policy Adviser will work closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership team to:
- Support the strategic direction of the branch and contribute to whole-of-branch initiatives, including planning, governance, and coordination activities.
- Track and manage executive priorities such as Ministerial briefings, correspondence, and parliamentary requests (PPQs).
- Provide expert advice on branch operations, strategic workforce priorities, and improvement projects.
- Coordinate key governance meetings, resolve emerging issues in real time, and proactively escalate matters requiring executive input.
- Liaise across multiple internal teams and external stakeholders to support timely and effective service delivery aligned with government priorities.

Specialist Expertise
- Dataset management, data analysis, visualisation and presentation skills.
- Power BI, Tableau, WordPress skills desirable.
- For some roles demonstrated experience in working with Commonwealth and/or state government departments and non-government organisations in health policy, funding or program administration would be highly regarded.
