Position Details
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

Embedded in Corporate Services, Court Services Victoria's approach to procurement ensures all procurement processes and activities, regardless of the procurement category, value or risk profile, are compliant with the FMA and the PDCMA.
The CSV Procurement Framework is Court Services Victoria's principal source of reference for all procurement matters, whether the task is to lead a complex, high risk procurement or to conduct a straightforward, transactional procurement activity.
About the role:
The Procurement Analyst position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the procurement data cube, and analysing data related to purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market trends. This analysis helps identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. They work closely with Category Managers, Contract Managers and Procurement Partners, to ensure that procurement activities align with organisational goals and compliance requirements.

Key accountabilities include:
- Applying an analytical approach to data collection, maintaining a data cube that holds cleansed and classified data, available in the format(s) for use by the Commercial team.
- Utilising analytical skills to produce analysis and derive insights from procurement data that supports strategic decisions, including identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
- Responding to data requests and publish reports (e.g., using Excel or pulling data from a PowerBI report) at an advanced level through analysis of complex datasets.
- Managing data quality processes, data checking and help drive remediation strategies and execution. Champion a programme of continuous improvement to enhance data quality and improve data integrity.
- Providing back up support to the Procurement Operations Coordinator providing held desk support for CSV's procurement systems (currently including Zycus and Oracle) and resolving system issues – with internal stakeholders & external suppliers.
- Providing support to the Executive Director Commercial Division including but not limited to:
a) Coordinating, compiling, and capturing relevant data for purposes of constant monitoring of performance and advising team of upcoming priorities, activities, and deliverables.
b) Creating and maintaining Master Trackers relating to Governance and Compliance team activities.
c) Assisting with quality assurance of team deliverables. - Contributing to the team's continuous process improvement initiatives through preparation of relevant documentation and monitoring of outstanding actions.
About you:
- A relevant data science/business tertiary qualification would be desirable.
- You will have experience in data systems, metadata, assessing information requirements, and data extraction.
- You hold advanced skills required to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data.
- You have demonstrated ability in synthesising multiple sources of data (e.g., Accounts Payable, Contracts, Budgets, etc.) to draw meaningful insights and observations into analysis, activity and performance report creation and benchmarking.
- You have demonstrated experience in creating commercial related compliance and spend analytics reports and dashboards, combining multiple sources to data.
- You will have knowledge of common programs, such as PowerBi, Content Manager/TRIM and Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint and records databases is desirable.
- You can demonstrate experience in learning new procurement systems and tools specific to the requirements of the role.
