Position Details
THE ROLE
Are you:
- Looking to apply your commercial acumen on a high-profile program that will deliver quality, secure and affordable housing to people in Victoria who need it?
- An experienced project or contract manager with a focus on building and contributing to a strong team culture?
- Passionate about collaboration and partnership between the not-for-profit sector and government?
- Experienced in construction or contract management in a social or affordable housing context?
The Principal Project Manager will be responsible for the proactive and systematic management of funding contracts with community housing organisations. The role will ensure that community housing organisations deliver new social housing projects on time and within budget in accordance with the requirements of funding agreements, and that Homes Victoria also meets its contractual obligations in relation to the provision of funding.
The successful applicants will be responsible for delivering a wide range of projects, managing staff as well as multi-disciplinary consultancy teams, undertaking engagement with internal and external stakeholders and providing key strategic advice and reports to inform the department's delivery of social and affordable housing projects.
The role will require a dynamic and flexible candidate, capable of managing multiple and competing priorities. The role will contribute to developing a strong and collaborative team culture within Community Housing Partnerships unit and across Homes Victoria
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide leadership and guidance to a project team with increased level of autonomy and accountability to achieve Home Victoria's strategic objectives. This will include ensuring the team keep accurate and complete records of their work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
