Job Description
About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in mental health? South West Healthcare is seeking applications from suitably qualified Mental Health Clinicians to join our Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) at our Camperdown Campus. As a PMHT clinician, you will provide essential assessment, treatment, and consultation support to consumers experiencing common mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with consumers, GPs and other primary care providers to manage caseloads effectively.
- Conduct personalised assessments and create tailored treatment plans.
- Provide short- to medium-term interventions to support consumer care and well-being.
- Work as part of a dedicated team to ensure high-quality service delivery for our consumers.
Position overview
- Part-time (48 hours per fortnight), On-going position
- Camperdown Campus
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Psychologist Grade 2
- Salary Range: $88,030.80 - $112,091.20 pro rata, plus superannuation
This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV) up to $10,000.

We are seeking individuals with robust clinical skills and extensive experience in mental health services. Knowledge of Recovery-Oriented practices, trauma-informed care, and contemporary mental health trends is crucial. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are pivotal for success in this position.
Qualifications:
This role is open to candidates with the following qualifications:
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse: AHPRA registration with a minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health services (Desirable). Completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
- Occupational Therapist: Registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Social Worker: Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Psychologist: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Salary Ranges
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3: $100,932.00 - $112,091.20 pro rata, + super
- Occupational Therapist Grade 2: $88,030.80 - $101,197.20 pro rata, +super
- Social Worker Grade 2: $88,030.80 - $101,197.20 pro rata, + super
- Psychologist Grade 2: $94,478.80 - $106,906.80 pro rata, + super
