Position Details
About the role:
The Director of Medicines and Pharmacy Improvement will be responsible for leading the development, delivery and evaluation statewide medicines and pharmacy improvement and reform initiatives, including the Victorian Medicines Formulary project.
The position will lead and manage project teams to deliver initiatives. The position will lead engagement with key stakeholders and establish and oversee the various governance arrangements. The position will ensure appropriate quality, safety and compliance processes are established and monitored as well as lead the evaluation of initiatives.

About you:
- Provide expert and authoritative advice to government, senior management, and external stakeholders regarding system improvement and reform projects, and other initiatives as required.
- Deliver executive project management and change management to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee and manage initiative budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficiency.
- Lead specialist teams, to achieve timely and budget-compliant initiative delivery. Lead and manage a team, as well as additional resources across government (as required) and as appropriate funded delivery partners.
- Lead consultation and engagement efforts and influence internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and support successful implementation.
- Chair and/or participate in various governance committees and advisory groups, involving a range of stakeholders.
