About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a dedicated Theatre Technician to join our Perioperative Services team. Our skilled Operating Theatre team collaborates closely with various clinical departments to ensure positive patient outcomes in a safe, supportive, and caring environment.
The Theatre Technician plays a vital role within this dynamic team. Key responsibilities include preparing the operating room and equipment, assisting with patient preparation, and ensuring the ongoing maintenance and safety of all theatre resources.
Position overview
- Employment Type: Full-time (76 hours per fortnight), On-going position
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Theatre Technician Grade 3, Grade 4 or Grade 5
- Salary Range: $71,141.20 - $78,790.40 pro rata, plus superannuation
What you bring
- Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Support (HLT47515) or an equivalent qualification
- Has greater than 24 month's experience (full-time equivalent) as a Theatre Technician
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to articulate policies and procedures, and communicate with all internal and external customers and suppliers to attain service provisions
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to ensure completion of all tasks
