About this role
The statewide Forest Health and Resilience team is responsible for coordinating the planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting of forest health initiatives in collaboration with regions and Traditional Owner groups, as well as developing and refining relevant doctrine. As the successful applicant, you will assist with developing and implementing statewide forest health initiatives and collation of statewide forest health and resilience data and information, working closely with regions and districts, as well as other parts of the business such as policy, planning and authorisations. The position will also develop and refine standards and doctrine to support forest health and resilience initiatives.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification in natural resource management, forest or environmental science or similar is highly desirable.
- Experience in forest management.
- GIS skills are desirable but not essential.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
