Position Details
About the role:
As Principal Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the safe, effective, and sustainable use of medicines across Victoria. Working within Safer Care Victoria's Medicines and Pharmacy Improvement Program, you will support the operationalisation of the Victorian Statewide Medicines Formulary, a major reform initiative to standardise and optimise medicine use across the health system.

About you:
To be considered a strong candidate for this role, you should possess the following
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., Pharmacy, pharmaceuticals, public health, or health administration) and/or equivalent.
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
Specialist Expertise:
- A minimum of 10 years' health service experience with a deep understanding of medicines governance and safety.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale healthcare system reform or quality improvement initiatives fostering a systematic collaborative approach to improving patient outcomes, including the management of multiple and concurrent initiatives with conflicting milestones and deadlines.
- A strong understanding of the Victorian health system across government, private health and public sector is highly regarded.
- A practical understanding of digital health and procurement across the Victorian health system is desirable.
