About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
IMTD is responsible for supporting one of the largest technology networks in Victoria and leading the department's technology, digital capability, business systems and digital transformation. This network consists of Schools, Corporate and Early Childhood Education (ECE) including a school user base of more than 1500 Government schools, 50,000 teachers and 650,000 students.
IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.
About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to assist with the administration and daily operations of the School Digital Services branch, with a specific focus on the Notebooks for School Staff Program. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality service and support to all Victorian Government Schools through the program, ensuring the timely provisioning and coordination of notebook deliveries, data analysis, trend monitoring, and reporting on program-wide initiatives.
Attributes
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to prepare clear, concise, and grammatically correct reports, briefings, and correspondence. Capable of explaining rules, procedures, and policies to various stakeholders.
- Organisational and Administrative Skills: Proficient in managing filing systems, information management, and administrative tasks, including maintaining databases and tracking program records accurately.
- Project Management and Reporting: Experienced in contributing to projects, tracking progress, monitoring budgets, and reporting on performance standards such as timelines, quality, and outcomes.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Skilled in evaluating work practices, identifying inefficiencies, and making recommendations to improve administrative procedures and systems.
- Stakeholder Management and Negotiation: Ability to influence, negotiate, and manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve shared goals and support effective project execution.
- Attention to Detail and Data Management: Strong focus on gathering and recording accurate data, maintaining up-to-date registers, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of program records and performance data.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Desirable : Bachelor's degree in a related field
