About the role:
The Senior Engagement Advisor is a strategic role within the Department of Health's Communications and Engagement Division. The role advises on best practice engagement across the Department.
The Senior Engagement Advisor will work with Business Partners to develop and deliver strategies to ensure stakeholders are kept informed and provided opportunities to participate in key programs and reforms.

About you:
To be succesful in this role you will have the following capabilities
- Problem Solving - Seeks all relevant information for problem-solving; investigates and probes for the facts; liaises with stakeholders; analyses issues from different perspectives and draws sound inferences from information available; identifies and proposes workable solutions to problems.
- Stakeholder Management - Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships; identifies and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs; uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved; find innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues.
- Strategic Planning - Coaches others and engages key stakeholders in strategic planning process. Thinks at the whole of system level and undertakes internal and external scanning, considering wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision for the future; Translates strategic direction into team and individual plans and daily activities for self and others.
Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification relevant to community engagement or policy development would be advantageous
Specialist Expertise:
The following would be beneficial:
- IAP2 training or certification
- Knowledge of the Health sector
