About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

CSV Digital provides a comprehensive range of IT services including mobility, network services, software support, court services support, in-court technologies, IT vendor management, business analysis, procurement, transcription services, telephony and communications support. In its ‘day to day' operations the function will aim to ensure courts are properly supported in their day-to-day work and service to the community.
About the Role
The Senior Functional Analyst is responsible for ensuring the delivery of changes and enhancements to various IT solutions. The role primarily involves requirements gathering and the coordination of the delivery of system changes for Case Management Systems and other business applications used in various jurisdictions using Agile principles. The role will also resolve complex issues and conduct system administration activities as required.
Key accountabilities include:
- Managing the software delivery pipeline for application changes and enhancements along with the maintenance calendar to ensure requirements are delivered as priority and per the specifications of end users with minimal operational impact.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders and product owners to prioritise requests for application changes.
- Providing targeted communication to all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables, and issues and to measure and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Eliciting and documenting requirements, conducting system testing and coordinating user acceptance testing for all application changes.
- Owning, coordinating and collaborating with relevant domain team members including developers, testers, and infrastructure team members to ensure the successful delivery of application changes.
- Resolving complex issues and conducting system administration activities as required.
- Implementing, coaching, and encouraging the use of agile principles like frequent software delivery, flexibility with changing requirements, regular reviews and collaboration between business and CSV.
About You
A minimum of a tertiary qualification in one of the following areas or similar qualifications, or equivalent professional work experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology is highly desirable
- Agile certification is highly desirable
Also:
- Demonstrated experience as a business analyst to elicit and document business requirements and to deliver appropriate solutions by designing and configuring solutions.
- Demonstrated experience providing functional and technical support to business solutions in a complex and highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience working both independently and in small teams to deliver complex solutions.
- Demonstrated experience and qualifications in implementation and execution of Agile practices.
