Position Details
THE ROLE
As the department's Chief Information Officer and the Executive Director, Information Technology Services branch, you will provide a central point of leadership for the department's digital transformation and ICT programs. You will also lead the portfolio of technology projects governed through an ICT subcommittee of the DFFH Executive Board, supported by shared ICT governance arrangements with the Department of Health.
The Chief Information Officer and the Executive Director, Information Technology Services, is a key member of the Corporate and Delivery Services Executive Leadership Team and will forge strong partnerships across the department, portfolio entities, whole-of-government and other key stakeholders to achieve the department's objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide specialist technology advice to the Executive Board and senior executives to support technology enabled organisational and transformational change.
- Provide a single point of accountability for all matters relating to the use and management of information and communications technologies across the department.
- Determine the department's business technology strategy - ensuring that it supports achievement of the initiatives in the department's Strategic Plan and enables the execution of the policy and service delivery reforms and innovations required by divisional Deputy Secretaries.
