About the role
Join ACMI as our Facilities Coordinator and provide facilities support to ACMI stakeholders. The role supports the delivery of day to day building services including security, cleaning, storage management, plant and equipment maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values teamwork in a small and supportive environment, has a strong customer focus and a can-do attitude to step in and step up when needed. This is a full-time ongoing rostered role, working across a 7 day roster, participating in an after-hours on call service and attending site after-hours when required.
What you'll bring to the role
- Proven experience in a Facilities role providing building and facility support services, preferably within a major public facility. This includes providing hands on building maintenance including patching and painting, management of hard waste / e-waste / recyclables, floor / wall / door maintenance, non-prescribed electrical and plumbing work.
- Knowledge of standards and codes including essential services requirements, relevant Australian Standards, Building Code of Australia (BCA), Disability (Access to Premises – Buildings) and Occupational Health and Safety and a demonstrated understanding of the implications of decisions related to public and occupational health and safety.
- Sound judgement, flexibility and initiative to evaluate and decide upon appropriate methods and procedures to solve building maintenance and facilities related problems in a dynamic environment.
- Experience engaging and coordinating contractors and service providers to meet contract obligations and service standards.
- Experience working collaboratively in a changing environment with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team with a focus on customer experience in the provision of facilities related services.
