Are you passionate about supporting Aboriginal people in the justice system and ready to take the lead in driving change?
We're looking for a committed and culturally knowledgeable Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager to join our team and help create safer, stronger communities—one person at a time.
In this vital role, you'll work with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, supporting individuals with complex needs and those who have committed serious offences. Using a strengths-based, culturally informed approach, you'll help guide them through their rehabilitation journey while contributing to positive outcomes for the broader community.
You'll also play a key role in shaping how we support Aboriginal clients—providing expert advice, developing cultural support plans, and working closely with Aboriginal organisations and the Koori Court.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, focused on behaviour change and completing correctional orders.
- Creating tailored cultural support plans to meet the specific needs of Aboriginal clients.
- Assessing risk factors and developing individualised case plans that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
- Providing expert advice to senior leaders and community-based teams on culturally safe and effective approaches to working with Aboriginal clients.
- Building strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to culturally appropriate resources.
- Attending Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.
About You
We're seeking someone who brings a deep understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community, along with strong case management skills and a genuine passion for supporting others.
You'll have:
- A proven ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people and communities.
- Strong knowledge of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in the justice system.
- Experience in applying evidence-based case management frameworks, especially with individuals with complex needs.
- The ability to apply theory to practice—identifying risk, planning interventions, and supporting behaviour change.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
Why Join Us?
This is more than just a job—it's a chance to make a real difference in people's lives and work towards a more just, inclusive system. You'll be part of a dedicated and culturally respectful team, supported to grow and thrive in your role.
