- Salary range: $90,871 - $101,868 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging

About the role
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking two dynamic Lawyers to join our Morwell or Bairnsdale offices and deliver high-quality legal services and make a meaningful difference in the Gippsland region.
In this role, you will provide high-quality legal services across family violence (FV), family law and/or child protection. You will act as an advocate, deliver casework, and offer legal advice to clients, making a meaningful impact in the community.

These roles can be based at either of our Morwell or Bairnsdale office on Gunaikurnai Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- A proven ability to act as an advocate, deliver legal advice, and conduct casework in family violence, family law, and/or child protection.
- Knowledge or practical experience in relevant law and procedure, particularly in family violence, family law, and/or child protection.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).
- Entitled to practise in federal courts and courts exercising federal jurisdiction (entry on the High Court's Register of Practitioners (mandatory).
