About the Role
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Planner to join our Trustee Services team and provide tailored financial advice and comprehensive financial plans for clients with highly complex portfolios.
This role will see you draw on your expertise in financial planning, social security, taxation, superannuation, aged care and investment products to formulate strategies that make a real difference in our clients' lives. You'll also play a key role in mentoring Para Planners and Planning Assistants, and reviewing financial plans to ensure quality and compliance.
Please note, you must meet the eligibility criteria to be recognised as an existing adviser under the Financial Advisor Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA).
Duties
- Develop a deep understanding of highly complex financial circumstances through client consultations and file reviews
- Formulate financial strategies and prepare accompanying plan documentation and investment instructions
- Review and endorse financial plans prepared by Para Planners and Planning Assistants
- Coach and mentor Para Planners to build their technical capability
- Maintain strong and productive relationships across the Financial Planning, Financial Administration and Trustee Services teams
- Ensure all advice complies with policies, legal requirements and service standards
Skills and Experience
- Certified Financial Planner and/or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning
- Experience with XPLAN/xTools+ or equivalent software
- Demonstrated expertise across social security, taxation, superannuation, aged care, annuities and investments
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience mentoring and coaching others in technical financial planning
- Experience in a para planning capacity and in reviewing financial plans
