Position Details
THE ROLE
The Central Information Point (CIP) was formed as a result of recommendation from the Royal Commission into Family Violence to better serve the needs of victims of family violence.
The CIP consists of a co-located team of employees from Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, Magistrates' Court of Victoria (Courts) and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), who will perform the role of CIP data custodians and provide a summary of targeted information for family violence practitioners at the Orange Door network, Safe Steps, Men's Referral Service and Risk Assessment and Management Panels (RAMPs).
The CIP Coordinator manages a team of multi-disciplinary CIP data custodians responsible for accessing and collating family violence data from relevant departmental systems. The CIP Coordinator will assess, prioritise and allocate requests for family violence perpetrator information. They will review the information collated by the CIP data custodians for consistency and relevance and deliver the consolidated CIP report in a timely manner.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Manage demand from CIP requestors by assessing, prioritising and allocating CIP requests.
- Manage a team of departmental CIP data custodians in a dynamic and sensitive environment.
- Provide authoritative advice to key stakeholders, including the Orange Door, on matters relevant to family violence risks and issues, and the quality, accuracy and relevance of family violence data.
