About the role
South West Healthcare's Maternity Unit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Midwife to join our team in a permanent Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) position.
As ANUM, you will work in close partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager to:
- Champion clinical excellence and high-quality patient care
- Support effective resource management and operational efficiency
- Provide leadership and guidance to our committed maternity team
- Step into the Maternity Unit Manager role when required, offering valuable leadership development opportunities

Position overview
- Employment Type: Part time (64 hours per fortnight), On going position
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Associate Nurse Unit Manager
- Salary Range: $115,538.80 - $119,428.40 pro rata, plus superannuation
What you bring
- Dual registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, with current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of five years post-graduate midwifery experience, with proven excellence in clinical assessment
- Strong commitment to clinical safety, professional standards, and patient-centred care within a maternity setting
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development is highly regarded
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and staff supervision capabilities
