Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

In its ‘day to day' operations the function will aim to ensure courts are properly supported in their day-to-day work and service to the community.
About the Role
The Production Support Officer role operates within the Victorian Government Reporting Service (VGRS) which facilitate recording and transcript services to the courts. The role is responsible for the production and delivery of transcript within the Court of Appeal (CoA) division. Duties of the Production Support Officer include:
- Prioritising, delegating, producing, merging and organising the distribution of transcript for the CoA, including 'Coloured' Court hearings and Appeal Preparation
- Coordinating and prioritising requests for transcript from the CoA, ensuring adherence to agreed delivery timeframes as defined in the VGRS Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Proactively building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders of the VGRS; attend to, communicate, respond and triage requests from the CoA Registry and its delegates
- Liaising with the Service Delivery Lead and Training and Quality Assurance Coordinator for resourcing requirements associated with the production of CoA transcript.
- Assisting with merging and distribution of all transcript delivery where and as required.
About You
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of transcript production, court proceedings and audio recordings.
- Typing Speed of a minimum of 75 Words Per Minute (WPM) with 98% accuracy
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office applications and court recording software, with the ability to quickly learn new software/applications.
- Sound working knowledge of the English language, including an understanding of its working, structure, syntax and grammar, with the ability to identify legal, medical, forensic and psychiatric terminology, including Latin phrases
