About the role
Are you passionate about mental health and ready to make a meaningful impact in your community? South West Healthcare is seeking a qualified and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) based in Warrnambool.
In this dynamic, client-focused role, you'll provide vital support to individuals experiencing high-prevalence mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. You'll work collaboratively with consumers, GPs, and other primary care providers to deliver high-quality, short- to medium-term interventions that promote recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to support consumer mental health.
- Collaborate with GPs and other health professionals to manage caseloads effectively.
- Contribute to a supportive and multidisciplinary team environment focused on quality care.
Position overview
- Employment Type: Part-time (64 hours per fortnight or up to full time hours), On-going position
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Psychologist Grade 2
- Salary Range: $88,030.80 - $112,091.20 pro rata, plus superannuation

- A solid understanding of contemporary mental health practices, including Recovery-Oriented approaches and trauma-informed care.

- A commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement in mental health outcomes.
Qualifications:
This role is open to candidates with the following qualifications:
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse: AHPRA registration with a minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health services (Desirable). Completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
- Occupational Therapist: Registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Social Worker: Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Psychologist: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
