About the role: 

The Senior Developer supports the Communities and Families Portfolio, the role works collaboratively within a small team to develop and deliver solutions across multiple projects within the portfolio including design, development, and deployment services. The role also provides support for minor enhancements, break/fix maintenance, and ongoing system improvements across a range of departmental system solutions.

This position requires a highly skilled Siebel developer with extensive experience and expertise across a broad range of Oracle and Microsoft technologies and application designs.

About you:

Can you demonstrate the following?

• Work collaboratively with team members to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
• Maintain awareness on current trends and industry practices that could have a potential benefit to the department.
• Participate in design, development and testing of application and reporting solutions.
• Solve complex technical problems and provide technical direction to other developers.
• Ensure compliance with government, eHealth, and ETB strategies and policies by adhering to best-practice software development standards, including design, coding, documentation, and testing in line with PDM and other endorsed methodologies.

Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

Qualifications

• A relevant IT related degree or qualification will be highly advantageous to this role.  
• Certification in PRINCE 2 or other project management methodology is highly desirable.  
• Certification in ITIL methodology highly desirable.   
• Agile project experience will be advantageous. 

Specialist Expertise

General Experience 

• Extensive experience as a Senior Developer within medium to large government or commercial organisations. 
• Proven expertise in software design patterns, development standards, and application frameworks. 

Coding / Integration / SaaS Platforms & Cloud Services experience required
