About the Role
South West Healthcare's (SWH) Mental Health Service (MHS) is offering an exciting opportunity for experienced Medical Officer to join our team as Psychiatric Registrar in 2026. This role will involve working across the Infant, Child and Youth Team which covers the ages from 0-25. It will provide a dynamic and broad range of clinical experiences to further your career in mental health.
Our Mental Health Service at South West Healthcare is well-regarded for its innovative, integrated approach to community-based, client-centred care. We work closely with families and carers within a recovery framework, offering comprehensive services to a diverse demographic. The successful candidate will have a strong background in applying recovery-oriented practices in their clinical work with consumers and carers.
Position Overview
- Employment Type: We are looking for a highly motivated individual for a full-time, one-year position, commencing 2 February 2026 until 32 January 2027
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Salary: Commensurate with experience

- Demonstrate a patient-centred approach to care.

- Possess relevant experience in delivering high-quality mental health assessments and treatments.
- Be enrolled in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) training pathway.
- Work under the supervision and mentorship of experienced consultant psychiatrists.
