About the role
South West Healthcare's Mental Health and Wellbeing Services is offering an exciting opportunity to join us as a Perinatal Emotional Health Program (PEHP) Worker. This fixed-term role until July 2029 provides stability while giving you the chance to make a lasting impact on women and families during the perinatal period.
Within this role you will provide vital mental health and emotional support from conception to 12 months postpartum, managing a caseload of women experiencing perinatal challenges. Working closely with Midwifery, Maternal and Child Health, GPs, and other primary care providers, you will coordinate care, navigate referral pathways, and strengthen community connections.
This is your chance to combine clinical expertise with meaningful influence, helping to shape and strengthen a critical service over the life of the role.
What you bring
- Tertiary qualifications and professional registration (AHPRA or relevant association) in Nursing, Mental Health, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work
- 4-7+ years experience in mental health, preferably perinatal mental health
- Strong clinical and psychological support skills
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and initiative in a dynamic work environment
- Knowledge of mental health trends, legislation, and policy
